Incorrigibly situated in the heart of Encino, The Mahi-Mahi Room graciously tolerates Cyrano, Señor Amor and Special Agent Lotus broadcasting every Tuesday on KXLU 88.9 FM. At 10PM we embark on our voyage from the monkey-laden temples of Bali to a dangerous disco in Delhi, and ease into a lit lounge in Lodi. Like the crew of the Flying Dutchman, The HMS Molotov slowly sinks through international waters and sonic seas, hitting the sandy bottom when midnight has a stroke.

Do you want to start off the year of the rooster doing something awesome? Yes you most certainly Molotov-Cock-A-Doodle-Do! Join us this week as once again, Martin Wong, the guardian angel of music for kids and grown ups alike will present his 11th benefit to save music in Chinatown. Chinatown was one of the crucibles of punk rock in LA and his series of shows both honor the past and acknowledges the future right here in the present. Along with Martin spinning tunes from bands to appear Sunday (and those from previous lineups) we welcome in studio LA/OC punk godfather, Rick Agnew (Christian Death, Adolescents, D.I., Social Distortion…). Tune in this Tuesday and there’s sure to be a maelstrom of music, strange stories and benevolent banter all in the name of a good cause – to provide support for the music program at Castelar Elementary school in Chinatown.
